This is not about Wyoming...it's about Vermont

So naturally, for my first blog post on this Wyoming blog I am going to write about our trip to Vermont.

Mickey and I took a week long trip to Vermont for Steve and Lauren's wedding/vacation/anniversary trip/babymoon. Right before we went we bought this new fancy camera and then proceeded to not really take that many pictures while we were there, but I am going to share what we've got! (Because we all know no one goes to a blog to read stuff, it's just all for the pictures)

We stayed at the Sterling Ridge Resort in Jeffersonville, VT which is a tiny town close to Stowe. We would highly recommend this place to anyone!

Here's the cute little cabin we stayed in:

And here was the view looking out from the cabin:

Here's the pond by the front entrance where you could sit or fish!

We went to the Ben and Jerry's factory to take a tour. Our first stop there was the Flavor Graveyard, where discontinued flavors go to die.

Do you think they really store that stuff in those? Who knows?

We couldn't take pictures inside the factory so that's really the only ones I have from here. The best part of the day was when we ate ice cream. I got Jimmy Fallon's Late Night Snack which is "vanilla bean ice cream with a salty caramel swirl and fudge covered potato chip clusters." It was pretty much every pregnant woman's dream.

We did some hiking around Vermont which was very fun! To get to the hiking we had to drive through Smuggler's Notch which is a very narrow road through the mountains. We heard all about this cool gondola ride you could do to the top of a mountain where you could get out a hike around. Well, when we got there it wasn't open yet so we chose to do the Scenic Toll Road instead. You drove yourself to the summit ridge of Mount Mansfield and from there you could hike around. The drive was really nice and I am glad we did it! Once we made it to the top we go out and hiked a few miles further up the mountain. It was a pretty foggy day so the views weren't that great but it was fun anyways. We heard that on a clear day you can see to Canada!

Here I am sitting on some rock thing I can't remember the name of.

And here's Mickey towards the end of our hike. See how foggy it is!

Here's a foggy view looking down!

One night we (but really just Mickey) built a campfire and made s'mores which was really fun and yummy!

I warned you we didn't take many pictures! We also went to a cider mill, took a kayak trip, did more hiking, ate a lot of great food (and Vermont Maple Syrup!), went to a beautiful wedding, spent the day at a lake house and Mickey did the alpine slides.

That's all I've got for now....Hang in there, I promise the next post will be about Wyoming!
